FS: Long-Spined Urchin Edm. - SOLD
Have for sale a black long-spined urchin (diadema spp)
Body is about 1 1/2-2 inches across.....spines are about 5-6 inches at thier longest Eats algae like a machine, but grows too fast for my small tank. $20

Hmmmmmmmm....good question. I don't really know if they actually sting. I've touched his spines with no affects. However...maybe someone else on here can better answer your question.

as far as I am aware they do have a small amount of venom in each tip.
