Need ID help
I remember seeing this critter on the net a few months back. Now I have one as a hitchhiker and can't remember where I saw it. I've been looking for hours to try and find it again. Anyone come across info on this would be be doing me a favor. I'd like to keep it but not sure what it feeds on.
  3/4 the way up the center. just above the zoos.

I think your referring to a hard worm like shell, and it puts out long sticky webs.
Could we have a close up, or maybe a box or something around what your asking us to ID?

Ok, here are the links for the pics in high res with the worm in a blue circle. It's about 3" long and only comes out at night.

Could be tough like I said it only comes out in the dark. The only light in those photos were from the flash.
