![]() Well I think I like them. Anyone ever built one of these ... maybe have a handy plan? From what I can tell they look fairly simple and would make my tank very quiet.
Could a guy assemble and use one of these with out glue? (my girl has gives me laser eyes if I use VOC and the like in the house)

![]() I think many people are using them Ross.
There are also many designs out there to fit your certain situation. It may be best to do a search here or RC, you will get lots of reading material. Mine is assembled without glue and it works wonders.

![]() Here is my favorite: http://home.att.net/~rstockman/overflow.htm
I did not make holes in mine, but used my chop saw and cut 4 or 5 cuts, 1/3 the way on either side. I did not use glue but it did take some 2-3 pieces to get the height correct. I like this design because it can be removed just by unscrewing the whole thing out of the bulk head, some Durso types are there for good. I did have to clean mine once in 8 months. Lee

![]() Well I stopped on the way home tonight and spent 12 bucks on the parts for the durso standoff thing. Including taking the stupid sticky price tags off (the longest part) they took 38 minutes. I now have 2 more refugiums and my tank is impressively quieter. The first thing I noticed was that one of my pumps was noisy.
most excellent improvement and thanks for the links!!
