![]() Aren't they like the things you put on the tap to start a siphon? How do you use them in a reef tank?
Aquatic-eco system has these for mixing but I'm not sure if it's what your looking for.http://aquaticeco.resultspage.com/se...21&Image3.y=13

![]() I use them on my closed loop. Had to take one off because it was stripping the flesh off my Stag.
Hidden reef sells them. Not sure if they are on display but that is were I got mine. Just ask. I think I paid $22.00 for a 1 inch ![]() J |

![]() what's the science behind these, what do they do?

![]() They increase the waterflow [ movement ] by about 5 times by pulling the tank water through by the jet of water that is created by the nozzle. Same as using a venturi with a hose for cleaning a tank or draining a water bed only you don't get rid of the water.

![]() They also spread the flow out so it's not a single jet of water concentrated in one narrow stream but spread out like a garden hose open half way instead of all the way.
