Carbon & Rowaphos in Canister Filter

Someone suggested I just run carbon and rowaphos in my Fluval.

BUT....if I were to take the sponge filters out of my Fluval and just run carbon & rowaphos through it, wouldn't my tank be dusted with tiny carbon/rowaphos particles?

Nope, just keep your flowrate way down.

In a Fluval canister, the sponges are the first stage the water passes through anyway....unless it's an old 03 series your running.

I run carbon and RowaPhos in Fluval 05 series canisters with no ill effects.
