Hey, there's a store around here that has the turbofloater 1000 for $198. My understanding is that the Aquamedic skimmer is better. I see J&L's has the BakPak for $198.

The Aquamedic apparently needs a 10" clearance on the back of the tank, which left that one out for me. It did have some pretty serious rave reviews I thought.

Well, I did both the maxijet 1200 mod and the airstone mod to the CPR Bakpak 2r. (Listen to me......I might DIY something yet...
It's got some sludge now, and hard to photo the cup, too dark, but lots of dark liquid. Still playing with the cup level a bit. Foam consistency is good for a small skimmer. ![]() |
