Default Burp a puffer?

I was just wondering about my dogface puffer ever since I got him he has puffed up on a regular basis. To go to sleep he puffs up in between two rocks. The last couple days he has twicthed side 2 side a few times and I heard of burping pufferfish.Just wondering if anyone has heard of this.

The burping thing is a last ditch effort to try and get a puffer to expel some air. Unless you are sure he gulped air you do not want to try it, it's is a bitch to do.

I assume this is a recent purchase. It's not unheard of to see a young puffer do this sometimes, especially if it is stressed. Check you water parameters to be on the safe side but it is probably just adjusting to it's new home.
