![]() I am looking to buy a submersible pump for a beckette skimmer. Would say it is better to buy a Mag Pump (1200 or higher) or a Quiet One pump (6000). Which will last longer, require less maintenance, and produce the best results?

![]() Personaly i would suggest a Mag also however Word of caution, their replacement impelors are expensive (use a good grill on intake) Also i found that anymore than a Mag 1200 (assuming less than 2 feet head)is a waste, any more preasure and it will just bleed out the seam of the injector. I run a Mag 9.5 and it does just fine.

![]() For your Beckett, I would suggest a Mag 18..A Mag 12 at the least.
