I just purchased 50 lbs of rock from somebody from buysell.com. Unfortunately for me, their rocks were out of water for some time (~2weeks), and left in their garage. Thus they froze over.

Im wondering how long I should be curing them for before I can stick them in my 50G tank? I have 2 aquaclears running, +1 powerhead+thermometer+saltwater in a big tub right now. Its been running for 1.5 weeks. Any thoughts? Ive heard from 1 week to 3months? Not much of a smell on the rocks . |

I can't imagine that they are live at all after 2 weeks dry including freezing. I hate to say it, but once any former life on them decomposes I think that you are left with basically considering them as baserock.....

Just rinse/clean them off and put them in with some rock that is still 'Live' to seed it.
