![]() Trying to figure out if the Site Counter is updated based on number of unique visitors, or number of pages hit. I thought it adds 1 to the number whenever a link is clicked, whether by the same person or not. However, I have been watching the counter lately and it never updates on me loading different pages.

![]() Hi,
I think the site counter is based on how many times the counter itself is loaded. So, if you press refresh, the counter updates. I just tried it and it seems to work now. Each page has the site counter...so logically, the counter represents how many times somebody updates a page or retrieves a new one. - Victor. |

![]() Hello Victor,
What you said makes sense. However I just did the following and the counter didn't update: 1) going to different pages within the UBB system, 2) going to other pages (online store, survey, etc) and coming back. So it looks like to me that unless someone explicitly hit the refresh button, the counter doesn't update unless: 1) you are a new and unique user, 2) you haven't been on the board for awhile and you are back. Is that correct? Titus |

![]() If you use your browser "back" button to go back to the main page, the counter won't update unless you explicitly reload the page. When you click to go to another page from the main page, as long as that new page has the counter, the counter updates. HTH
