max load on the bottom of my tank?
just wandering if anyone knows what the max load is on the bottom of a glass tank(90gal) thanx

Pile in the rocks until you hear a cracking sound, then take one back out
 There are many factors that will determine the weight capacity of the tank bottom. How thick is the glass, is it tempered, is the glass bottom flat on the base or raised on a rim moulding, is it drilled and where? Bottom line, as long as the tank is well made, it should hold as much as you are able to fit in and still have room for the fish to swim. My biggest concern is avalaches and one of the rocks hitting the bottom hard enough to break it. Make sure the rockwork is stable, especially if you have no sand bed or just a shallow one.
