Seahorse
One of my tank looks kinda empty right now. Its a reef tank I got one clam , atleast 50 blue leg hermits, I have 5 fire blood shrimp in there ,2 cleaner and a peppermint shrimp, and for the fish I got 1 watchman goby, a maroon clown(soon to be move to the other tank) and 2 mandarin "which I assume dead since I haven't seen them for 2 weeks now"
Here's the question can I put a seahorse in there maybe 2or3 and where can I buy them localy?

Before getting seahorses, do lots of research and buy captive bred instead of wild caught. Wild caught are often hard, if not impossible in many cases, to train to eat frozen foods.

If mandarin gobies are having trouble in that tank, high maintenance seahorses are even more fragile & finicky. Also, any seahorses would cost big bucks & be hard to keep alive without excessive TLC.

I think that's the main reason, although I have a Derasa, Squamosa & Hippo clam with my seahorses.
The other reason might be that seahorses prefer tanks that aren't so bright while most clams need MH to really do well (like Maximas & Croceas - which are the most commonly available). My seahorses swim right across the clams without any trouble, but my clams are strange that way. Some clams slam shut at the slightest stimuli & would injure or kill an unwary seahorse. My clams are kept right at the top while my seahorses prefer the bottom of a PC lit tank. Anthony
