![]() I'm thinking of upgrading to a single 400 watt MH from my current 250watt. Can someone tell me what a balast goes for? I'll get a new bulb and use my existing reflector.

![]() If you are going to get a 400W ballast I would recommend getting the son agro HPS 430W ballast, which they also call a 400W HQI ballast. They work really well at running the european bulbs, and put out more PAR with higher power consumption. You can get them at hydrophonics stores. I paid 95$ each, plus an enclosure.

![]() Quik grow 80 dollars for a used ballast. They work great. Comes with mogul and all that stuff. plus quick realse plug.
