![]() earlier today, came into my fish room and my mh light was off and the ballast was making a ticking noise. i checked the plugs, unplugged it and plugged it back in and it started to work again. and now i came into the room and the light wasnt intense as it normal is. it was a shade of blue, similiar to when it's warming up. the light seems to be surging different spectrums.
any ideas? faulty ballast? the unit was purchased new in feb.

![]() That happens when mine first turns on. I would see if you can test the balast with another bulb, it might be the balast going.

![]() What light (brand and wattage), and what ballast is it? I.e., electronic, or standard?
