About 6 months ago I bought a dwarf lionfish that wouldn't eat for me. I sent him over to Deb, aka "Lion Tamer" and she got him feeding. Now he's 3 times the size he was before.

He won't get much bigger than what he is now, thank God! I was a bit nervous putting him back in the tank but he feeds fine and leaves the other fish alone.

Lion venom isn't too bad actually... Speaking from experience, felt like my arm was gonna fall off for a while...

The toxin breaks down in heat - thus putting the stung area in water as hot as one can stand is the general cure (tho it is highly recommended that you visit a medical professional to make sure none of the stinger remains to cause an infection).

Thanks everyone. I was pretty nervous watching Deb feed him the other day because her hand got dangerously close to him. I fed him by hand last night though, and that was soooo cool! He recognizes a hand as being the bringer of food, not a threat, but caution never hurt anyone.
