Beautiful tank Shao

Wish I had the room for a 180g reef. How many watts of MH are you using? Any chiller being used in the summer?

PM sent.

Anthony

i've been running dual 400W 10k MH with 2 160W vho actinics...

and i recently added a 250W 14k DE MH to the middle of the tank (had the light sittin around for ages waitin to be set up)

and i'll be swappping out one of the 400s for another 250DE shortly.

no chiller so far...

yeah, the powder blue and the leopard are among my favorites.

Shao,

the tank looks great! you can actually see everything now

Is that the red flowerpot I see next to the clams??

The RHS looks a little bare, tell that colt to hurry up and grow

not realy, 250 watt HQI (either DE or SE) can be just as/or more intence than 400's with a little power savings.

the real nice thing about going DE is the smaller size alows the use of more efficient reflectors and sense they are housed in a enclosure there is less heat added to the tank (or it is easier to take care of)

Shao, looks nice. theres a chance I might be going to Van for a two week course, would be cool to get a chance to see some of the tanks over there in person.
