I have a 990 and it is NICE. Great shots. The newer ones are even better.

Yeah I bought one last night. Haven't had a chance to mess with it yet tho. Grrr..

I will.

I got the 990 for a steal. Wanted the 995 but hard to get round here. And after reading the differences between the two were just that the max shutter on the 990 is 1/1000th and the 995 is 1/2300. The other diff is 7123 steps of focus on the 995 and 4896 steps on the 990. So for those two differences I am happy to get what I did. plus it came with a 2x lens kit, regargeables, flash card reader three flash memory cards and a few other goodies.

Inside the original packaging was the recipt for when it was bought a year ago. $1800 including taxes. [img]images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] [img]images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] Add on the lens and other goodies and I figure under $850 for it was a steal. Brand new, not a scratch on it. none of the manuals or CD's were even opened.
