Jim,

Sounds awful You gonna keep the deep freezer or toss it? If keeping, clean it with 1 part bleach and 20 parts water, then rinse well.

On a happy note, you've got 1000 posts

Whoo hoo (starting to think I spend too much time on the board...nah!!)
I gave the freezer a final scrub today with hot water and mr.clean and turned out good.Makes me want to cry when I think of all the meat (guess I'm lucky it was only a 7 cubic ft instead of a bigger freezer )

Default failing freezer

Hey Jim,
When I bought my new freezer it came with like an insurance policy......if the freezer fails within warrrenty the food is covered (partly??) too.
If your freezer is newish you might have this feature.
FYI
----oops just noticed the 'Switch thing"
