![]() Can anyone recommend any good white wines?
Perhaps something in the cheap range, something in the middle range, and something in the expensive range? |

![]() I think you might want to say what kind of white wine like if you are looking for dry, really dry, or not so dry.

![]() are you just looking for it to drink by its self or with a meal, or with a snack. also it depends on the type of food its self. I like several white wines myself like a Chablis on a hot afternoon with a little fruit, but I would never drink Chablis with a meal as it would be way over powered.
Also do you like a touch of sweet? if so then you can look at a nice Riesling or Gewürztraminer. but as for saying get this or that wine it is hard because even in one type of wine the flavor will vary with different wineries and years. best bet is to go to a good liquor store that has a wine specialist on hand and get him to recommend a few lower priced bottles (10.00ish), try a couple one weekend a couple the next and so on until you find what you like. then you can try different wineries in that selection until you find a winery you like then try some of there better wines. ![]() Thanks for the advice. I don't know much about wines because I rarely drink, so I don't know a Riessling from a Sauvignon Blanc.
I don't want something too sweet. I want something that would go OK with a meal or on its own in the evening. |

here are a few wines and a quick description of them. Chardonnay- full body dry white Chablis - crisp, dry wine with a medium body Piesporter - full and fruity body Gewürztraminer - fruity wine with a distinctive spicy aroma and taste Liebfraumilch - spicy hint of fruit and a soft, elegant bouquet Hope this helps. ![]() I like Rieslings, but most Asians (even us bananas)
![]() ![]() The suggestion to ask the liquor store expert & try some dif. varieties is also good, just less fun than a winery tour.
