great build!

question about the light mount...
do you think there would be a way to make the height adjustable on the fly?
moving the arm up and down...
some sort of sliding mechanism, manual or remote?

I like the idea for lighting a peninsula tank, but would need it adjustable for access and maintenance.

Sure could. I almost went that route.. i was going to use linear bearings and a 12v linear actuator to raise and lower it with a button.. but after installing it was able to get all my rock in and move around with out the light being an issue so in ever bothers

Cool build and really thought out sump layout. May I suggest a screen net for those nice anthais, they tend to carpet surf a lot.

Thanks bblinks. Ironically the anthias have been out and about but hide under rocks a lot. I did buy the parts for a screen top but am still unsure if I want to use one (I just love the open top look). But I guess I should build it and see how it looks
