New to posting on here but thought I'd share
Been 4 years since I've done a SW tank but seem to remember most of it.
So list of things I bought for it
- innovative marine nuvo fusion 10 tank
- innovative marine nuvo fusion 20 stand ( Just in case I upgrade one day)
- kessil A160WE led lighting ( might buy the controller as well)
- marineland 50 watt heater ( may upgrade in future)
- hydor koralia 240gph pump
- innovative marine hydrofill ATO pump and controller
- new Hagen water tester kit
- h20cean natural salt
- have a innovative marine nano protein skimmer on its way should be
a couple more days
- other little misc stuff probably not worth mentioning lol
Any suggestions is appreciated

Nice start but I would get rid of the Hagen test kits, from what I was told they say they are good for saltwater but they are not as accurate for saltwater.they are mostly for freshwater.

Well so far so good everything looks great set up the auto top off but the pump wasn't pumping anything so I think it's broken gonna have to return it for a new one. Got my protein skimmer in the mail yesterday and it fits perfect in the back and works really well

P.S. Anyone want to fill me in the best way to get pictures on this forum? I have a dslr or iPhone and couldn't figure it out

What would you suggest for an accurate test kit?

Welcome!

If you haven't used the Hagen kit yet then maybe you can return it. For ammonia you can use an Ammonia Alert which you put in the tank and lasts a year. Gives you live readings. That's the only one you really need right now. Nitrate and phosphate down the road for monitoring nutrients and then depending on what type of corals you want you may need calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium kits too. Salifert is a good brand that the whole line works well. Same with Elos but they are pricier and harder to find.

so this coral is the one that went missing... i noticed his polyps looked half eaten 1 day then 2 days later he was gone and no evidence of anything eating it. 2 more days later it was completely gone. then the next day i saw this white nudibranch on my glass so i hit google looking for it and found out it eats soft coral... pulled him out immediately

the victim
