?? REEF OCTOPUS 200 EXT
wanting to hook my diablo 200ext skimmer under my tank as its a cube , the skimmer fits fine underneath . The problem I ran into was the drain on the skimmer is to low to go into the sump and I know you cant just plumb the drain up and over . So was going to use a taller pipe so it goes ove the edge of my sump and was going to cut down the pipe with the cap so it fits . Trying to avoid building a small stand to put the skimmer on as the cube tank is viewed from 4 sides with center overflow
first pic is how it shows to set it with the shorter pipe second pic is how I was going to set it up anybody think this would work ? cant really find to much info on the skimmer anywhere

doesnt the drain pipe have to be lower than the skimmer cup?

+1...if the cup is lower the water will drain out on the lower point..looks like you need to build a stand so the drain pipe is lower then the cup..thisis one of the reasons i don't like external skimmers

could always drill a hole in the side of your sump and go through that
