Waterfall pump recommendation
I am going to add a waterfall feature to my small backyard pond. It is just a baby pond, maybe 100G preformed. Waterfall will only be 3-4 high. I just want the sound of running water... No fish.
Also. How do you keep the intake from being clogged with debris? |

the laguna pond pumps have that cage around them to stop larger pieces of debris from entering. The pumps can handle smaller solids easily.

For only a 100g pond (I'm assuming it's pretty shallow) and only wanting to go up 3', I would say you could get away with the smallest laguna max-flow which I believe is the Laguna Max-flo 600. It's cheap, only uses 35 watts, and can push water (supposedly) 5' while maintaining over 100gph. The Laguna Max-flos are meant to handle solids (to a degree) so it won't clog up easily. As Brett said, the pump is surrounded by a perforated cage. I think I've used (mostly) all the Laguna max-flos from the 600 up to the beast 4200 and haven't had any issues with them.

Ok thanks.
Next question - what online store has the best prices for pond supplies and carries Laguna pumps? Might get some pond lights too |

I buy lots of stuff from petsandponds.com. They are a sponsor here. Or at least they used to be.

Those Laguna pumps are common and just about every store that does "ponds" carries them. Just dig around till you find a price you like. Make sure you take shipping into account. Some of the Ebay guys will have killer prices on the pumps and then try to run you thru on the shipping.
