Default Anyone on here have a RLSS R8-I Protein Skimmer ?

I am setting up this skimmer and I have a problem with lots of micro bubbles passing thru the baffles and into my return pump. The water level is 9" high. Two baffles down and up over the return section. The baffles are 1" apart. Please help and thank you.

Is there a lot of micro bubbles coming out of skimmer?

How long have you had it running? Mine initially had a few micro bubbles and random overflows but I changed the depth to just under 7" and lowered the power settings. It now runs in my sump with no bubble trap and there's no problems of any kind.

Its been running for 1 day at 8" deep minimum setting and produced so much micro bubbles in the sump and in a display tank. The two baffles doesn't help at all.

It is not uncommon on new skimmers to produce micro bubbles pretty heavily for the first few days even weeks sometimes. I would let everything get a little slimy and then play with the power settings on it and minor water level changes to fine tune it from there.

Maybe you can post a video so we can see this beast at work?
