![]() I have a 6 foot coralife 150 watt fixture.
I just changed the bulbs and have noticed that the ballast now run significantly hotter - I actually popped the powerbar and had to replace it. I had previously been running the same thing with the old bulbs for a couple of months with no problems. is this norma? have others noticed a difference in new bulbs verses old bulbs? thanks in Advance Neal

![]() I've had the same happen to me as well. But I figured it was the fact that the power bar is a couple years old and I almost always had 3 400w mh on it now each has its own supply. For the 270g that should be online come the 29th. There will no longer be any power bars it uses a home built power distribution system that's split into 2 banks of 8 switched outlets and 1 bank of 10 outlets non switched. Each bank has a completely indepentant 20amp feeder on dedicated breakers. All the outlets and switches are rated for 20amps each.
