![]() I need to stain some wood trim and panels in the room with the tank... is this safe with the tank running, or should I bring all the wood outside and do it there?

![]() better to do it outside, but personally, I dont see a huge problem with staining, in comparison to sealing or clear coat.

![]() Ventilate the room for your own safety and the fish tank will be fine

![]() I would also suggest that you turn off your skimmer while staining, as it will pull air into the tank along with any fumes that may be in the air.

![]() +1 to all of the above.....especially the skimmer......you can loose a few brain cells and still be ok, but you dont want that fumey air aerating your tank

![]() I once painted a wall with latex in the room that my reef tank was in. The skimmer had to be unplugged and the corals were all closed up by the end of the day. Some of them took 3 days before they looked normal again.
