![]() These are definitely larger tanks than the one I'm thinking of setting up. It's comforting to get some feed back about sizes before I start gettin-er filled up.

![]() The answer depends on a number of factors. Which way will the tank be oriented with respect to the floor joists ? Assuming it's perpendicular to the joists, how many joists will be under the tank ?
Will the tank sit at mid span or right up against a wall ? If it's parallel to the joists then you have to be far more careful ! Floors are a lot stronger than they may seem but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be sure of your loads.

![]() We're building out 320 in to a wall of our new place and the engineer assured me that even with the sump, the water, the rock, etc. things would be fine because the floor joists run perpendicular to the tank and they run off one mother of a central beam that is supported by a steel post.
Like everyone says, it all depends on the floor. |
