best way to attach vinyl tubing to submersiable pump?

whats best way to to attach the vinyl tubing to a pump? I cant use the hose clamp because its under water and it will rust.

otherwise brute force and tight fitting tubing?

heat your tubing in hot water or with a hair dryer then attach it with a stainless or plastic clamp-you could also try zip ties

Use that. Since it is submerged, it needs to be plastic.

I am sure you could source them elsewhere, BRS was the place I got mine, and thus I knew I could link to a picture for you!

Anywhere that sells parts for a phosban reactor would have ones for that size. And I think some of the canister filters use them still. I would check with some of your local fish stores.

Or you could try not fitting a hose to your pump and instead use rigid pvc :-)

If you must use vinyl then ya, try a plastic clamp or split the difference and fit the submersible part of the plumbing with ridge pvc then convert it (once the pvc extends out of the water) with a barb to your vinyl hose then you can use a metal clamp.
