I'll take this as a good sign

Picked up a clam today from Bignose and after a 21/2 hours acclimatization it's in the tank 10 minutes (and of those 10 minutes, the first 5 was me re-arranging) and it's starting to extend it's mantle and reacting to fish swimming past.

Yep, that's a good sign. I find clams open up right away.

Wait wait wait, 21 and 1/2 hours acclimatization? Is that amount of time standard for a clam? How fast was the drip? I have been thinking of getting a clam lately and this is news to me. Thanks!

I think it is 2.5 hrs...not 21.5
