Burnt out one of my Ushios after year+ and not liking the XM 20K I put in it's place. Used to run Hamilton 14K but lost a couple after 1 month then another after 6 months so I'm hesitant to try again but really loved the colour.

Seeing a bit on the Phoenix, wondering how they would compare?

Hamiltons are a little whiter than the Phoenix. I loved my 14000k Aquaconnects, but they are too expensive. The Phoenix is good bang for the buck IME. If you have a deep SPS heavy tank, then 10000k or Geisemann 14500k would be better (higher PAR).

Aquaconnects are German made & Phoenix are Japanese made. In terms of lighting quality, Sanjay's tests showed that they are reasonably close.

Phoenix are also 1/2 the price (maybe a little more) of the Aquaconnects.

Sorry, "same" was just easier to type than "virtually indistinguishable". I haven't looked at the Sanjay data to see how close or not they are though, just going on what I hear others say.
