I'm so up in the air over this stupid powerhead! One minute, I'm all for it. I see the results people are having etc and I think "how could I go wrong?! That'd be perfect for the rimless tank" Then I read how they can be a little noisey and I don't want that in my bedroom....grrrrr

I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to sound. Does white noise lull you to sleep?

Noise is realitive to how you set it up, you need to adjust for glass thickness and play with the alignment of the magnets, I am considering getting rid of my tunze wavebox (I find it to be louder than the Vortech)and going with the Vortech's.

*shrugs* Usually the TV is on, so I don't imagine it should be a problem. Worse comes to Worse I can stick the vortech on the 90 gallon for some extra flow (even though I'm already at 40x rotation)...

Sigh....off to drop another 400 into this tiny little 50 gallon tank....

Well since you seem kind of down about it, here's what I will do...send it to me and I will test it out, let you know if its worth it and how the noise is (I sleep across from my tank) and then if its all good, you can buy yourself another one! And by "it" I mean two MP40's.

Well...You gotta pay shipping. And I would have to find a box big enough to fit my tank and stand in.

Sorry Mike...waaaaaaay off topic

Oh, I guess Mikes not going to be around for a little bit.
