Algae Question

I have a red algae growing in my fuge that looks like cyano colour wise but it is not a mat and all stringy like cyano is. The best way to describe it is that its just like a thick red dust that sticks to the sand and glass ond coats my cheato. If i clean the glass with a mag float then the algae just dissapears into the water column. Does anyone know anything about it? what it is or how to get rid of it etc?
