Theres to many variables to consider in this poll and 100-500 is WAY to broad of a range, but my vote falls in there.

Oh come on you guys..
Its only a range, I know somebody might only spend up to $250 for a fish or coral, while others may go up to $500. Just put where your limit falls.. Eg, I may go up to $200 for a fish or coral, but I wouldn't go higher, even if someone offered me a Gem Tang for $700 bucks...well maybe..nope not even for $500. |

When we were first setting up the tank, my wife and I were at the LFS to buy our first fish. She spotted a large piece of live rock she liked and went to pay for it. When she came back I had picked out the fish I wanted. I said $85is a lot of money for a fish. She said, "So what, I just paid $100 for a rock."

I never had a problem with the $100 plus range for something I really wanted. Did that a lot.
The last fish I bought cost me $200 landed and died a week later. Kind of gave me a heads up.

$30 a day to rent a fish, sorry about your luck EmilyB. I won't pay more than about $50 for a fish, my bank account cry's when they die. As for corals I like to buy frags or small colonies, they'll grow. It's less expensive to be patient and let them grow than to buy them in larger sizes.
