Just for the record even if your angel did pick at your sps, I've found that the corals are amazingly tolerant of being picked on. Mine aren't adversly affected at all by having tips and polyps nipped. Now lps on the other hand just seem to wither and die and zoos disappear quicker then a sheet of nori

Colin, out of curiousity, what are your nitrates with all those fish? You don't run Zeo or Ultralith or anything like that, do you? How many lbs per gallon of rocks do you have?

I'm just curious, everything looks really great ... you have a much larger fish load than I've ever run so I'm curious what the effects are. (The irony is you have SPS doing well and I ... don't. )

tony - i havent tested nitrate in about a month or so but when i do it is pretty much undetectable. i run no zeo systems or additives. i only run rowaphos in a reactor. in the main dispay i have about 180 - 200 lbs of rock and about 50lbs in the sump. i do weekly water changes and i syphon 1/3 of the sandbed each time. i have thought lately about the fish load and nitrate issue but everything gets along extremely well, corals are rocking and water clarity is great so i havent stressed too much about it.

I'd have to say those pictures are many times better than any I take...very nice fish collection and wow, that's quite a few tangs! And your tank looks stunning!
