The inside of the RSM cabinet is 22WX18DX24H. I had Golds build the largest sump that would fit and give me enough room to get pumps in and out for maintenance 21WX17DX18H.

I decided to put the protein skimmer external so I could fit a larger skimmer (my skimmer is over 24 inches tall so wouldn't fit inside) and maximize the size of the sump. Originally I was planning the RSM, sump and shallow refugium but found a used Nanocube 6 so decided to add on the speciman tank while I was doing all the plumbing. Easier to add it in now than to modify the system once it is up and running. ________ vaporizer volcano Last edited by Brent F; 01-23-2011 at 07:24 PM. |

Beautiful. I've been thinking of modifying My Red Sea Max to make up for some of it's inadequacies, you've done a great looking job.

Here's a picture of the electrical powerbar and ATO system. I have the pumps and filters on separate switches so I can shut down portions of the system for maintenace while leaving other sections running

I had a problem of snails going over the top of my overflow into the box. I was concerned they would plug the outlet of the overflow so I added a guard today.
