![]() Hey,
When I brought some rubble back from the Dominican Republic I just put it right in the tank. It was put in a plastic bag so it was still moist when I got home. I don't suggest you do this but I am just sharing my experience. The rubble I brought back was not to porus so I didnt worry about it to much. If your just using the rock as rock you may want to rinse it in fresh water first and then the critters from your rock you have currently will repopulate the rock. ciao

![]() I dunno' about going directly into the tank with it. Remember that guy I told ya' about that brought all that rock back from Cuba ? "He" put it in a rubbermaid container and saw outrageously (Sp?) high ammonia levels for about two months. "He's" glad now it didn't go directly into the tank...
![]() Boil and cycle...?

![]() I also brought back some beach rubble from Mexico. (really had to restrain myself from bringing back an entire suitcase of the stuff! ... had to settle on a few nice pieces)
Before I dumped it into the tank let it soak in fresh water for about a week. no problems. |
