![]() Does anyone have this fixture? I am wondering about the fan noise. It will be for a tank in my living room and I need it to be silent.

![]() You mean one of these?
http://www.esuweb.com/cardfile.asp?I...lationship=283 I have one. The fan isn't totally silent, but it's not a jet engine either. I can't even hear it for all the other noise going on, ie: skimmer and overflows. HTH,

![]() I have the 2x96w fixture and the fans, while not silent, aren't loud. Just like Johnny Reefer mentioned above. The skimmer definitely puts out more decibals

![]() i have seen a couple who have removed the fans and it doesn't affect them at all. The unit gets a little warm but not hot. Many people on RC have removed it without any side effects.

I may be getting a 30 gallon cube which is 20" or so wide and I am looking at lighting options. |
