I agree with Alan. If the fish is new to the LFS it is already stressed in what is probably over crowded conditions.

I too prefer to take an animal home before it acclimatizes, thus hopefully stressing creature only once.

That all being said, most of my fish have been here a few years now and a quick count shows they came from:

Pisces 7

Wais 5

Big Als 1

MO 4

Petland 3

Adoption 3
