I love the creative use of holiday lights! Are they acting as moonlights for your tank? How well do they work?

They work quite well there. Just don't do what i did and took off the other lights that i didnt use. becuase you will blow the fuze.

Are those the LED lights or are they the old regular bulbs just painted blue?

No they its the normal Christmas lights the blues one and green one. really basic. But they are bright
