Try building a few small pod piles in the back of the tank. Just pile up a bunch of rubble and as long as the crevices between the rubble is too small for the fish to get in the pods should be able to breed in relative safety.

Another option is to add a big ball of chaeto to your fuge. My chaeto is litteraly crawling with pods. They seem to love that stuff.

Agree with Muck - my cheato is also crawling with pods. When I harvest - which I have to do every 2 weeks at least, before I throw it in the garbage I will shake the ball of chaeto into my water change water as I usually harvest and change water on the same day.

Hmm... although I don't have chaeto, I do have calurpera in my fuge.
Does the macro matter?

Cheato tends to grow more densly and provide better cover.

In my fuge, I can see some pods in between the CC. These are the 'shrimpy' looking ones. I can also see tiny tiny white specs crawling on the acrylic just at the CC line. But never anywhere else.

I tried a bottle of DTs once. I didn't really do anything for the tank.

No matter how well fed a six line is, it will always pick pods off your rocks. Probably the same with the dotty.
