Default Self ballasted T5's - Never buy them

Each one we fired up lasted a few days. No wonder reefsolutions doesn't sell them any more.

Deb,

What brand were they? I don't like the short lifespan of the Helios brand T-5s but the SNODE? ones I now use work fine & even have replacement bulbs available for cheap.

Helios = cr@p. Longest I've had a Helios work was about 6-8 months. The other brand I get from Coral Ocean is still going strong after 1 year.

These bulbs were new, just passed thru a few canreefers before they were used. I'd like to know where they came from and whether this is common, and can get some compensation.
