Coral beauty is very nice but don't they like to nip at corals? So far the yellow watchman debating on damsels and clowns I already have a firefish and clown in another tank. I like Royal Gramma not liking the $60 price tag I'm not looking to buy for a while just trying to get some ideas ....keep them coming

If it where me I would go with a dwarf angel, a pair of small gobies like yellow clown gobies, and if I had a good filter system a clown with some thing to host in.

$60 for a royal gramma? Wow? I didn't think they were that expensive. Go for the watchman goby, a clown goby (whatever colour you want), and a small school of chalk bass.

My 2 Cents . . .

They are hit and miss with SPS. Are you planning on SPS or LPS and softies?

I would do:

Yellow Watchman w/ pistol shrimp
Six Line Wrasse
Pair of skunk clowns

That's already probably the maximum bioload IMO.

When I owned that tank, I had 2 Perc clowns, a BiColor Blenny, and a Blue/Green Chromis in it. It seemed to work well. Man, I miss my Bi-Color Blenny

Damsels are my most hated fish. They super territorial and always pick on and nip fins of other fish. Like someone else said they are a waste of bioload IMO.

i totally agree with phreeeeeeeeeezeeeeeeee.

for your 29g, i would do two false clowns (cuz they get to be only 3 inches in size fully grown, and you can get itty bitty babies at AI so you'll have them a long time), and then a yellow watchmen goby (another 3 inches in size) so even with these 3 fish you may overload. i've heard it's 1 inch of fish per 4 gallons. so maybe no goby. well, that's my 2 cents. which seems to be alot like everyone elses two cents.... oh well.

I'm not sure if I agree with the whole inches per gallon theory myself. perhaps if you were dealing with a tank with only tangs, or clowns. Most reef tanks have a mixture of fish which all have different requirements and personalities, this accounts for a plus or minus effect to the amount of fish inches that should be kept. You've had some good suggestions here so you should be able to make a good decision based on that.
