what tank are you making Brad? Give an update
Chin, I'm building a reverse 90, oak stand & canopy. 2 Tunze streams, MAG 12 return and a 1" seaswirl. 75 pounds of rock, tops and 2 x 400w radium = actinics for lighting. Euroreef in the sump and my Ca reactor under stand.
We're redecorating and we've decided something smaller and less industrial looking will suit the livingroom better.

I can buy glass wholesale, so I'm going to try my hand at building the tank myself, should be fun!!

Ryan, it's a 90 on it's side. Essentially 48"l x 24"w x18" deep. This eliminates the extra height for short armed persons such as myself, while giving a greater front to back space for rockwork.

Ahh... seems like an ideal solution.
Your clams will love you with an 18" depth on your tank.

Especially under a pair of 400w Radiums.

Brad, you going to run a single 1 1/2in. overflow? I run a pair of 11/4in. with a Mag 12 return and it seems just about the right amount for them to handle.

Doug, I haven't quite worked out whether I'll do 1 or 2 holes. My 155g has only one, and it works just right with the MAG 12. I might do 2 just because, but 1 would probably be OK.
Now I just need to decide corenr or centre. If I go centre, I'll have to pick up a second seaswirl, just to make things even. corners, and I can use a single seaswirl in the centre. decisions, decisions....
