![]() Hello everyone,
Unfortunately we've got a pest problem (silverfish) that we just can't beat on our own, have tried putting down powders etc. At this point I may have no choice but to call an exterminator to fumigate the house. I am concerned about the effects this would on my reef tank, has anyone with a tank fumigated there house before? And does anyone know a safe way to do this? |

![]() I'll PM ya. I know a guy who's owned freshwater tanks and is a pro pest control guy. May not need to go fumigation as he has some chemicals only allowed for professionals that is targeted and effective.

![]() Not quite the same, but we had a guy come in and spray some stuff down for ants in the interior of our home.
I just made sure the tank had good circulation and made sure the skimmer was operating as should. No ill effects. The majority of spraying was in the crawlspace which happens to be where my sump is! *sounds like what GUY mentioned. some chemical rather than fumigation.
