Default 10kpc vs 50/50 pc

ok so i dont know much about lights, but i need to change mine in about a month ,right know i have the 50/50 95w that came with the fixture but after seeing chad's 10ks they looked so much brighter, both corals and fish glowed i find that 50/50s wash most of the colour out,i do have another actinic on the tank so i will still have plenty of blue, but whats is better 50/50 or 10k for pc on a 20g and advice thanks

I have seen different K of Halides which kind is more blue the 10k, 12k, or 14k. I would go with a dual 70 watt metal halide for a 20 gallon.

If you are finding that your lights are too blue with the 50/50, then I would switch to 10000K PC bulb.

Really? You mean everything looks too blue? Usually Actinics enhance coral colors. Then again, its all personal preference. You may see increase growth since you have more white light vs actinic lighting.

it does enhance coral colors but only the white areas same with the fish,i was trying to go for a more bright sunlight effect rather than a deeper water blue, ive seen just 10ks on another 20g and it looked great ,very much like a shallow water effect .
