Default Or you could make your own

From another thread... I use this to detect water on the floor of my sump room, and then shut off pumps, as well as set off alarms and send emails.

I use this DIY sensor with my Apex (which can recognize an off/on switch event) to shut off pumps. It could be taped to the outside of your skimmer cup. Or use your float switch inside with the Apex (no relay needed). Just some alternatives...

Solutions are easy. The real difficulty lies in discovering the problem.

The Neptune controllers have been able to do this for quite a while with the Breakout Box and some $12 water sensors (I bought mine on ebay, search GRI water sensor). I guess this new product is a little bit more plug and play but even I was able to figure out how to do it the old fashion way with my old ACIII and current Apex.

Yes true I was going to use the breakout box. I just like the plug and play and will use the breakout box for float switches
