![]() Curious as to opinions on where is best to mount a MP40w (non-ES) on this tank.
Photo below shows it on the right side, centered between the overflow and front glass (blowing away from the overflow)... I noticed that the surface was always slimy - thought being that the flow was primarily against the overflow so surface skimming wasn't really happening. I now have it mounted on the left, blowing towards the overflow. 7" below water, 14" above sand. Surface seems much cleaner, and flow to the back rocks seems better (my left arm to put some coloured die in the tank to watch the current ![]() What have you experienced for the best placement? I'm also thinking of putting a smaller powerhead under the overflow blowing towards the front of the glass (to remove any dead water), thoughts? (I have a Tunze 6025 laying around) Pump: MP40w (non-ES) Tank: 36 x 18 x 24 Overflow: internal, corner, back right ![]()
