![]() Hi Guys,
Filter socks have different "Microns". My question is, what do most of you guys use out there? Does one have an advantage or dis advantage over the other? Thanks ![]() |

![]() I have both felt and mesh filter socks from BRS. The felt socks are much more effective at collecting than the mesh socks, I'm not sure what the microns are but I would suggest the felt for sure. I have to change mine every 3-4 days.

![]() I use this 200 micron felt sock for my 135g. It is 7 inches diameter and 16 inches long. Lots of capacity and easily lasts 7 - 10 days before I change it.

![]() Sas looking at trying a filter sock but did not want to "polish" the water with a fine micron size and have to change out every couple days or so, would 300 micron be a good compromise.

![]() i put mine on a normal cycle in the washing machine with a 2nd rinse and a splash of bleach on the wash cycle. then i run it through a second with just water to make sure the bleach is gone. i can still smell bleach a bit after the first wash so i put them through a second time.
