Hi,
Found these on ebay and wanted some feedback on it.

I would probably avoid it personally. Not that you can ever really trust anything on eBay, but it would probably look better included the PAR readings.

The other thing that would bother me about these, is from the description, its one cord powering both light colors, which means no controling the colors seperatley with timers.

+1 no dimming or control over light levels, also could be me but I don't see a brand for any type of reviews or research. not worth the risk IMO. better off shelling out the extra $ to get a fixture you know about

Ive got a similar unit and it's great. It's growing my sps and Ive had a clam for 4 or 5 months now. Mine has two cords tho and individual controls it cant be dimmed tho. I just acclimate my coral till there use to it. What type of corals are you planing to keep?

that light looks like its running 1 watt leds , find a unit with 3 watt leds if your looking to keep all kinds of corals ,and dimming if you want to keep it for more than a month ( frying your corals and the ablitity to change the color temp is invaluable)

The item description says 55x3 watt LEDs. eBay is like any other 'store', shop wisely & in most cases you'll be fine. My DIY LED fixture is made of mostly eBay LED components from Asia & it works great.

I planning to keep mainly softies. How do you aclimate your corals to different light? Is it the same process as introducing them into a tank?

The description says it has two switches to control each colour, do other fixtures have a dimmer option for lights?

Also do most units come with dimmer capabilities? Or is it that you are supposed to be able to turn off certain lights for certain periods??
