![]() Hey all, just wondering if anyone can tell me what the fitting used here is called. I am looking at the black fitting that the bracket is attached to. It appears to slip and tighten over the clear pipe and have a nut on the bottom that a bracket could be attached to.
I figure it is a common part as I have seen them used in several places. thanks in advance for help http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ht_2229wt_1144 |

![]() It's a probe holder. About 10 bucks, last time I bought one.

![]() When I worked in Saskatoon the company I worked for used the exact same black plastic "probe holders" as cable glands which is what they are actually used for. The strain relief type have a pigtail extension to prevent the cable from breaking at the seal.
Anyways we ordered them from B&E electronics for around 50cents a piece and they come in a bunch of sizes. So $10 for something worth 50cents and relabeled as a probe holder is quite the rip off. |

![]() That's pretty much the only criteria when deciding if something can be called a hobby or not.
